Hello, and welcome to my devblog about Sanguine Dream's 0.24 update!

The newest content involves major changes to the encounter system, setting up the foundation for party members to be added to the game, while opening up the ability to use a variety of different skills rather than having to slot them in first. 

Also added additional scenes for the Maid Bad Event, along with extra bugfixes that were making it difficult to access newer content that was added. 

Additions for this update include:

  • 4 Additional scenes for the maid bad ending, which can be accessed by losing repeatedly to Rubim in encounters. 
  • Updated the layout of the encounter system so that the player has access to all spells and skills they learn at once instead of needing to choose between them
  • Fixed up the foundation for party members, which is implemented during the tutorial fight with Lone.  (In the future, completing the side stories of characters may unlock them as party members)
    • Also adjusted the UI for the party editing system in Phim's Camp, now it focuses purely on levelling up, and switching out party members, though currently there isn't an option to recruit party members quite yet. 
  • Created win and loss scenes for the Somnium Knight Encounter

Content shelved for a later date includes:

  • Set up the Hamlet and it's landmarks/characters. The planned focus for the next update will be on adding extra content to the Maid Bad Ending, as well as taking a look at improving the UI and polishing up the encounter system.
  • Create portrait art for the Lion Merc, the Captain, Kobold Chief, and the Armourer (basic party members have taken priority over supporting cast art)

Content planned for future updates include: 

  • Set up a scene in your private camp for dealing with Lust, as this isn't reset upon resting by design.
  • Add Landmark content for the ThroneRoom
  • Add more event scenes to the  Alikhan Bad Ending
  • Set up more job tasks for the player to grind money outside of combat encounters.

Additional content added to the to-do list includes:

  • Add basic party members that join Phim during the main story so that you don't need to complete the side content to fight with 3 party members. 
    • These basic party members will develop as characters as you move into Act 2, with a more unique look and personal backstories of their own. 
  • Spread out the tutorial content a little more so that it covers the mechanics involved with magical elements, as well as their strengths and weaknesses
  • Create the Library as a landmark that can be used to read up on characters, as well as look up encounter elemental weaknesses and the possible items dropped from them.
